Do You Really Know Who You Are?

"Genuine relationships, intentionally orchestrated by personally secure people, generate valuable rewards for everyone."

A close friend of mind is a classic INTROVERT. She's very kind, communicative, intelligent, confident and direct. She loves to read, learn, share, understand and lead like any strong business owner does.

I sent her a short article, recently. It shared a middle aged woman explaining how she used to look at her "introvertedness" as a weakness. Now her viewpoint has changed, and she sees being an introvert as a superpower!

I believe my friend may also view her quieter side as a weakness. So I forwarded the article to my friend and explained, "This is how I see you in all your introvertedness...strong, powerful and confident. You are a superpower!"

My friend responded to my note of encouragement...
"I can’t wait for the day you're reaching 1,000's of people like this, regularly! It’s not any less meaningful that you reached just 1 person, like me, today, but it’s a genuine wish from me to others to be able to receive the same gift. Made my day!"

Our goal is to experience guests taking action upon what they've learned about themselves. By doing this, we've seen the improved quality of life in everything they are currently experiencing. A few success summaries we've enjoyed...

Or maybe the “next right thing” is choosing not to react in frustration. But rather, just simply sit and listen. To stand in silence by someone to remind them: “I’m here. You’re not alone.”

None of us are really “too busy.” More often, we’re just too unorganized, distracted, or stressed to think clearly about how we might help someone outside of our normal rhythm.

What I really appreciated was someone who simply believed in me. We all have the ability to be that kind of hero. The kind that shares our genuine belief in someone else. Let’s choose our steps this week to honor those who continually show up for others—regardless of the personal cost or benefit.

Given the right context, young people are interested in understanding almost everything. But they rarely ask for a lesson. Why not? Because they're intimidated OR simply don’t know the lessons they’re intended to learn.

Did they catch a fish? No. But that wasn’t the goal. Making the pole was. They spent hours as inventors, creators, gathers, problem-solvers, communicators and teammates.
