A Spring (not screen) Refresh

Josh, Tricia & their 2 kids came to us a few months ago looking tired. They shared their exhaustion from "life's treadmill" and wanted a rest. They were in search of time on a neutral playing field (not at home, the office, or their in-laws backyard) to discuss how to find the joy they felt was missing from their day to day lives.

We accepted the challenge.

Over 75% of Americans experience health impacts due to stress in the prior month, including headache, fatigue, feeling nervous or anxious, and/or feeling depressed or sad (www.apa.org).

Josh and Tricia needed rest. Some quiet time. They parked their RV for a long weekend at Lone Oak.

For nearly the same cost as dinner and a movie, they spent 2 nights and 3 days resting, walking, talking, listening, & reading. Their kids played (outside). They fished and explored. They forgot about their yard, checkbook, in-laws, house and jobs.  They created a plan for their return home. They added some quiet time (screen-less) and eliminated some extra activities they knew weren’t serving them well.

They implemented their plan before they departed. It worked.

They’re now enjoying life more. Doing less, and actually having more. Their personal finances are balanced. Tricia took a job she enjoys, and the kids are thriving in school. Most importantly, they feel more joy…at peace with their lives and one another.

They plan to return to Lone Oak once each month for a "micro-reset."

The small amount of money you’ll spend on an RV hookup, hotel room, or guest home will return TEN-FOLD in energy, relationships, opportunity, peace and quality of life.

Whether at Lone Oak or somewhere else, we’re encouraging you to take time to refresh.

Live well,

Brian

The short answer to my 11 year old’s question isn’t because I have an extraordinary amount of patience. It’s because I’ve learned to see the moment in front of me for what it actually is.
